Countable nouns: (sustantivos que podemos contar)

Singular: There is a book on the table.

                There is an apple in the bowl.

Plural: There are two cats in the park.

            There are five eggs in the fridge.

Uncountable nouns: (sustantivos que no podemos contar)

Se usan siempre en singular, nunca en plural.

There is butter in the fridge.

There is water in the bottle.

SOME – ANY:

SOME: affirmative sentences

There is some water in the fridge.

There is some flour in the packet.

There are some eggs in the fridge.

There are some bananas in the bowl.

ANY: negative sentences          

There isn’t any juice in the bottle.

There aren’t any apples in the bowl.
